The Buddha Eden of Portugal: Garden of Peace and Self-Reflection
Last year, I visited the Buddha Eden at Quinta dos Loridos in Bombarral, Portugal. I was so excited to see this beautiful place that I have heard a few years ago. My husband and I picked up a day during the week and decided to make a trip to Bombarral. During the car trip, I could see a large hectares of “vinhas” resting on the sides of the route. Everything was green and the feeling sensation was so inviting! This experience was a prelude of my energy connection with mother earth. As soon as we parked our car and entered to this giant garden, I felt, totally, connected with nature and my self-being. After taking the train tour to Buddha Eden, my husband and I decided to walk and explore each corner of the garden. The weather collaborated with us; that day the sun embraced us with a sunny day and the sky was very clear and blue.
The exploration of the garden was very magical; at least for me- you really need to look beyond what your eyes see. I started asking myself questions about this place: who, how, why and when. The beautiful gardens make you reflect on the beauty of nature, the relationship with all human beings and the connection with the world. I started admiring all the special places within the garden. I said to myself: What a beautiful and peaceful garden! I sat for a moment and closed my eyes for several minutes to immerse myself and feel the peacefulness in my mind, body and spirit. I got unconscious for a few minutes ignoring everything that surrounded me at that moment. When I got conscious, I felt the wind touching my face as invisible hands of protection. Have you feel that before? In my inner self, I was listening the melodic sound of the wind and feeling, at the same time, the enormous power of nature.
This is a beautiful and peaceful place! I said, to myself. This garden invites you to connect with your inner peace and, also, to admire the simplicity of nature and life. The big image of the Buddha, in different meditation position, allows you to think about yourself as a human being. My experience with this place was so rewarding. For that reason, I would like to share that experience with all of you; I invite you to travel, with my photo album entitled: “The Buddha Eden of Portugal: Garden of Peace and Self-Reflection” to make a spiritual connection with this peaceful place. I hope my photos helps you immerse in the inner beauty of the world. Enjoy it!
